Is Cellulite Genetic and Is It a Forever Thing?

If you have been suffering from strange dimples on your legs and hips and are feeling frustrated with the orange peel skin that causes you to cover up at the beach, then you might be wondering just how to cure this very common problem called cellulite.

Firstly, is cellulite genetic? In most cases it is, which means that your Mom probably suffered from the same woes, and your Grandmother, and your Great-Grandmother…and so on and so on.

More specifically, a deep tissue massage will start to stimulate the areas of skin that have become tired and broken, which then leads to increased circulation and the reduction of fatty deposits beneath the skin that are the main cause of cellulite. As mentioned earlier, you probably won’t be able to completely eradicate cellulite, but it will become visibly less noticeable.
  2. Eat properly and exercise daily. Another way to deal with your cellulite is by eating properly and exercising daily. For many people, this seems like a massive lifestyle change, especially if they have gotten into the habit of eating junk food and sitting at the office desk all day. The best way to make that change is to take very small steps at first. Instead of trying to change your diet completely overnight, why not start with adding a few new foods to your meals one little bit at a time? You can also start an exercise regime in only 15 minutes a day, and then gradually increase that once you get into the swing of things.
  3. Consider laser surgery. There has been a lot of talk in the media recently about laser surgery for reducing cellulite, but is it actually worth the money? If customer testimonials are anything to go by then it’s certainly worth checking out, especially when you consider that it is often a quick and pain free procedure. However, just be aware that laser surgery doesn’t come cheap, and it won’t remove your cellulite, it will only reduce the appearance. Also, there are no guarantees that new cellulite won’t form in the future, which means you could find yourself going for laser surgery every single year.

Now that you know more about cellulite and how to treat it, the only question that remains is what are you going to do about it? Sure, you might not be able to eradicate the problem completely, but with a little bit of persistence on your part the cellulite on your legs, stomach, hips and buttocks could be barely visible to the human eye.

Is cellulite genetic? There are many factors which can cause celulite and it takes trial and error to correct the condition.Cellulite can be a genetic condition but not always. It is not always something permanent and for those of us who have this unfortunate condition, we can rest assured there are ways to treat it and improve our appearance.

Just look around and you will see plenty of families where two sisters don’t show any signs of cellulite while the third sibling does. We are all unique and our bodies are different.
