You see, there are many different natural solutions out there on the market, that don’t require you fill your body with dangerous drugs, buy expensive creams, or risk your health with surgery.
Here are the lifestyle changes that can make a difference for you:
- Snacking on vegetables – one of the best foods you can eat to help get rid of cellulite on your thighs is vegetables. The reason? Because they are packed with essential vitamins and minerals that fight cellulite right at its very core. Ideally, you should be eating vegetables with your meals, as well as snacking on them throughout the day instead of reaching for unhealthy junk food treats.
- Weight training – at the end of the day, the more body fat you can lose, the more chance you have of getting rid of cellulite from your thighs. With this in mind, it’s a good idea to incorporate some weight training into your daily exercise routine, for the simple reason that increasing your muscle mass helps to increase metabolism. The end result? You burn fat a lot quicker!
- Avoid processed food – it’s a well known fact that cellulite can be caused by dangerous toxins that are found in processed foods. Let’s face it, 80% of the food you find in supermarkets these days is a load of junk, which means you should make it your number one goal to avoid processed foods and to start eating more naturally. As an example, instead of buying packaged burgers, why not buy organic beef and then prepare the burgers yourself? It’s little things like this that make all of the difference. Don’t be afraid to stock up your fridge and cupboard with healthy snacks. Let’s face it, when you are trying to lose weight one of the hardest things to control is your hunger in between meal times, which means it’s all too easy to start snacking on things such as potato chips and chocolate bars. Don’t give in. Instead, snack on foods such as fruits and vegetables, and you will certainly start to notice the difference in your weight.
- Go easy on the salt – another major cause of cellulite on your thighs is too much water retention due to high sodium levels. In short, this is because you are eating too much salt most of the time without even realizing it. For this reason, you should always check to see how much salt is in the food you buy, and also, make sure you go easy on the salt when cooking. You only need a little bit to add some flavor.
- Increase vitamin C – many studies have shown that getting enough vitamin C is an essential part of ridding cellulite from your thighs and body. Medical professionals recommend that you get at least 1000mg of vitamin C every single day, and if you’re not getting this through your food, then you might want to consider taking a vitamin C supplement.
- Drink water – water has many different benefits for your body and is great at eliminating cellulite, which is why you should always aim to drink around 8 glasses a day. Tap water is fine in some areas, but sometimes a water filter may be needed to make get rid of the harmful chemicals.
- Avoid sugar – while natural sugars that are found in fruits such as bananas and oranges are good for you, processed sugar is unnecessary and will cause your body to start storing fat. Unfortunately, this kind of sugar is found in many different foods, so always check the labels when shopping at the supermarket, and when in doubt try and buy organic foods that are completely natural. I used to have this favorite Mini-Wheats cereal (yummy) that I would eat late at night when I got the munchies thinking it was healthy. The opposite was true! I was eating too much sugar which in turn, was simply being stored as fat.
- Stop smoking – everybody knows that smoking is bad for your health, but did you know that it could also be a major cause of cellulite? This is because smoking cigarettes has a negative effect on your skin, and often increases wrinkles making you look older, and causes you to be more prone to cellulite on your thighs. Why don’t you try a high quality vapor cigarette so you can reduce the nicotine and eliminate that nasty tar?
- Reduce stress – certain studies conducted by the medical community have found a link between stress and cellulite. Have you been feeling more stressed out recently? Maybe you are always worried and anxious? If this is the case, then it’s a good idea to mentally slow down and start looking for solutions to calm yourself down. Maybe try yoga. How about meditation? Or even hypnosis? Anything that can calm your mind and restore your body to how it once was is the way to go.
- Do some exercises that target your thighs – in order to get rid of cellulite on your thighs, it makes sense to do some exercises that target your thighs…right? With this in mind, try exercises such as squats and dead lifts in the gym, in order to tone your leg muscles and gradually melt away the fat so you can say goodbye to cellulite forever.
- Eat breakfast – one of the main mistakes made by people trying to lose weight is skipping breakfast in the morning. This can seem like a good idea, but actually, it typically does more harm than good. The reason? Because if you don’t eat breakfast then there is an increased chance that you will start to get extremely hungry at some point during the morning. This leads to a few different things happening. Firstly, you might be tempted to snack on junk food to satisfy your hunger pangs, and secondly, there is an increased risk of overeating at lunchtime, which means you end up piling on the calories despite your best intentions.
- Eat smaller meals – one of the most important aspects of losing fat on your thighs is increasing your metabolism so you burn fat quicker. However, the majority of people have a very slow metabolism, mainly due to the fact that they eat 3 large meals a day which leads to their digestive system becoming overworked. This is why it’s such a good idea to eat smaller meals throughout the day, so your body is only getting what it needs and your metabolism starts to increase. Eating around 6 small meals a day is ideal, although you can also supplement this with a few healthy snacks here and there. I’ll tell you what really worked well for me years ago when I was dieting; I would eat 5 egg whites and a slice of toast for breakfast. For my first id-morning msnack spaced 2 1/2 hours after breakfast I would eat a little pack of Melba toast (whole grain without salt). This would give me much-needed carbs to continue throughout the day. For lunch about 3 hours later, I would “low-carb it” by eating Boar’s Head lunch meats with fat-free American cheese wrapped in the middle. For my afternoon snack, I would eat a small Cobb salad without dressing or another little pack of Melba toast. I would follow that with a protein bar about two hours before dinner and I would eat a protein source such as fish, chicken or a lean meat with green beans or asparagus for dinner. I was losing 1/4 pound a day which equaled approximately 7 pounds per month until I reached my desired weight. Of course. I cheated a little here and there but in the end, it worked and significantly reduced my cellulite.
Hopefully, the list above has given you a better idea of how to lose fat on your thighs and say “adios” to your cellulite in the future. Remember this is not an overnight process, and will require a good amount of effort and commitment on your part to see it through. When you are making a lifestyle change, a little at a time until it becomes habit is always the best thing to do. Good luck.
